As we get ready to bring in 2025, Chess.com continues to do our best to bring you all the goods. Here's what this update covers:

      Content

Things are always tense when chess players meet over a polygraph machine, and this month was no different. Plus, we had previews of the world championship from some of our best stats people.

      • The dynamic content duo of GMs Vidit Gujrathi and Anish Giri continued to entertain us as they joined the lie detector series.

      • Previously, the Botez sisters, WFM Alexandra and Andrea, also faced the polygraph.

      • Our articles this month previewed the world championship with contributions from NM Jeremy Kane and IM Rakesh Kulkarni on the stats and numbers, and NM Matt Jensen's SmarterChess predictions. Stay tuned this month for recaps!

      Chessable

Chessable continues to provide excellent and engaging new courses and has also supported some impressive chess research.

      ChessKid

This month, ChessKid held perhaps the most exciting Kids vs. Stars yet, and this weekend is live in National Harbor, MD, for the K-12 Nationals.

      • ChessKid is at the National K-12 Grade Championships, December 6-8, with a booth as well as hosting a girls' club puzzle-solving contest on December 7. Read more about it over at ChessKid.
      • GM Anish Giri won Kids vs. Stars on November 15, taking on the prodigious quartet of IM Alice Lee, GM Shreyas Royal, GM Andy Woodward, and IM Ryo Chen and scoring 2.5/4. Alice won her game against Anish while Shreyas held a draw. Congrats to all the kids for an excellent show!
